April 5- Bangkok

After a good night's sleep, we set out to explore The Old Town of Bangkok.

On the way, we ran into the red shirt group.  But we figured you can't cause too much trouble wearing clown wigs and carrying stadium clappers.

The police thought otherwise.

We toured the Grand Palace in the 100+ weather.  It's an amazing structure that is covered in gold, porcelain or paintings on every inch.

And we saw some monks in the Amulet Market

Then we found an air conditioned restaurant where we could cool off and enjoy some lunch with two guests.

And we saw a beautiful sunset behind Wat Arun

Tomorrow- off to Bhutan.

ISH says the dogs are cute. At least with them at your feet you can be more comfortable with what you are eating. I appreciated the pic of the police gear stacked on the ground and not up close and personal on their bodies! Agree with Luke, the sunset is beautiful.
